OFL message about justice for injured workers and supporting upcoming actions
This year, we’ve made meaningful progress in the fight for injured workers’ rights:
Bill 118: MPP Jamie West’s Injured Workers Day Act passed its second reading, moving us closer to officially recognizing June 1 as Injured Workers’ Day in Ontario.
Your Pledge: Earlier this year, you pledged support for the Injured Workers’ Bill of Rights, we had over 2000 Ontarians sign the pledge.
We need your support now more than ever. On November 21, Doug Ford announced plans to distribute $2.5 billion of WSIB surplus funds to employers—without increasing benefits for injured workers.
Join us on December 9th 2024 for an Injured Workers’ Rally as we demand the Minister of Labour reverse decades of cuts that have left many injured workers living in poverty.
Rally Locations:
Toronto: Ministry of Labour, 400 University Ave, (map) from 11:00 AM
Thunder Bay: MPP Kevin Holland’s Office, 774 James St North, (map) 12:00 PM
Windsor: 2485 Ouellette Ave. (map) From 4:00 PM
Let’s make December 9th a powerful day of action!
Thank you for your continued solidarity,
