📢 Calling Family Members of Injured Workers: Your Voice Matters


A new research initiative led by Lakehead University, the Thunder Bay & District Injured Workers Support Group, and EPID@Work Research Institute is seeking family members of injured workers to share their experiences.

When a worker is injured or becomes ill due to their job, the impact doesn’t stop with them — it affects entire families.
From financial stress and emotional strain to caregiving responsibilities and uncertainty, families often carry a heavy, unseen burden.


👉 This research aims to:
Understand the real-life impact on families
Amplify voices that are often overlooked
Help shape better policies and supports


👥 Who Can Participate?
You may qualify if you are:
A family member of an injured worker
Supporting someone who has been off work for 3+ months


🗣️ How to Get Involved
Participants can choose:
A 2-hour focus group OR
A 90-minute interview (online or in-person)
