Have you supported a loved one who has been off work for 3+ months due to a workplace injury or illness? We want to hear from you.
Lakehead University, the Thunder Bay & District Injured Workers Support Group, and EPID@Work are inviting family members of injured workers to take part in an in-person focus group to better understand how workplace injuries and illnesses affect families.
In-Person Focus Group Details
- Date: Thursday, January 15
- Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
- Location: OPSEU Member Centre, Thunder Bay (beside Merla Mae)
- Refreshments: A light dinner will be provided
Future dates (including online options) are available to fit your schedule.
Who Should Participate?
We are looking for family members (partners, spouses, parents, adult children, or other close relatives) of workers who:
- Have experienced a workplace injury or illness, and
- Are currently off work or have previously been off work for 3 months or longer
Your perspective matters. Families often carry emotional, financial, and caregiving impacts that are rarely acknowledged—and your voice can help change that.
What Participation Involves
- Attend a 2-hour focus group (in person or online)
- Share your experiences in a respectful, confidential setting
- Help inform research aimed at improving understanding and supports for injured workers’ families
Participants will receive a $50 gift card.
All information collected is confidential.
How to Take Part
If you’re interested:
- Complete the survey linked on the event flyer or scan the QR code, or
- For more information, call Steve at (807) 767-9633
